A little back-story on this character is on order.
Much of my creative influence comes from growing up with games. I used to be a big gamer (I still hit the sticks once in a while). See, there was this online action RPG (role-playing-game) named Phantasy Star Online. I played this game for 4 years. I was an addict. Why? Besides the awesome dungeon crawling game-play and great atmosphere, it was one of the first games of it’s type to go online.
Basically, the main character I played with all that time was named Alis ( or Alys). She was a big-sword carrying, magic-fireball bombing, force of destruction. She wore skimpy pants and a punk-ish skimpy top while wo-manhandling and slaying infinite amounts of weird creatures and monsters.
After all that blood, sweat and tears, I became attached to my character. I told myself one day I’m going to draw her out, plucked from my memories of the virtual battlefields she dismantled. After adding my web name to the character, i settled on AlysMadux. And here she is.
What is this Phantasy Star Online? Surely you jest…check out the wiki for more info on the game that inspired the art.
PS- the legs are cut off because I have a bad habit of drawing on the edges of my sketchbook. My bad!
