As you have probably read by now, Art Charger is all about my art work -
the same art i’ve foolishly kept hidden for almost a decade. The goal is pretty simple – to allow people to see it – and in turn, produce more work, then eventually take it further. I’ve been heavy into character and story creation since around 5th grade. After my love affair with transformers began to wane, I simply started drawing from my head, and have been ever since then. It is one of my dreams to go to the movies or turn on television/game system and play something I created. I breathe character and fantasy concept development, and am a fan of any type of creative media.
A little history, hmm?
I have been drawing since a wee age, went to art High School (Art & Design, NYC), Art College(School of Visual Arts), and into an art-related career. I always planned on going straight into comics books by the time i reached college..but my financial situation wasn’t as great as I would have liked. At that point I researched salaries and rates for novice comic book artists at the time, and it was a joke (imho). Since I’ve always had a knack for computer knowledge, I went on the ‘desktop publishing attack’- I detoured from my illustration dreams and begin to take Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark classes. My thinking was that I will be able to create my own materials and can sell my self better, while make better money as compared to comics. Sweet. I simply just knew I could do graphic design, as I have a lot of faith in my ‘creative eye’ – and so the choice was made, and here I am. After focusing on graphic design since 1998, it is the perfect time to put love back into my artwork. Almost no one outside of family and friends have any idea that I’m an illustrator FIRST, designer second. Time to change that. With my creative passion and a host of technical skills, there’s no telling what I’ll be able to do…
Thanks for reading-now go check out some art!
